Obituary

Richard V. Linn, 78, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Superior, on December 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Vernon Linn and Dorothy (Pederson) Powell. After high school, Richard proudly served in the US Air Force, where he was part of the Honor Guard for President Johnson.

On July 20, 1986, he married Paula J. Wilson. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2002.

Richard was employed at McWhyte as a machine operator for many years then worked for Sanmina Corporation until his retirement. He was an avid fantasy football player and Green Bay Packer fan, loved music – particularly The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and Tina Turner, enjoyed drinks with friends at the Fireside every Thursday, and loved his two cats, Frisco and Blake.

Survivors include two sons, Rick Linn and John (Jennifer) Wilson; nine grandchildren, Alyssa and Tyler Linn, Johnny Belongia, Christopher, Kevin, and Connor Meddaugh; Mickie (Diego) Wathen-Salazar, Parker Sorg, and Llogan Bloom; and many great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters, Sandy Rokusek and Bonnie Davis; other relatives, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, William Linn; and a brother, Russell Linn.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 3rd, at Proko Funeral Home, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors. Interment will be private at Green Ridge Cemetery. Facial coverings are required for those attending. In lieu of flowers, memorials made in Richard’s name to Kindred Kitties, 614 59th St, Kenosha, WI 53140, would be appreciated by the family (and the kitties).
