Pero Matic, 75, of Kenosha, passed away suddenly, Thursday, September 4th, 2008, in Tuzla, Bosnia.
Born in Rocevic, Bosnia, on February 26, 1933, he was the son of the late Dusan and Vasilija (Eric) Matic.
On February 23, 1956, he married Krsmanija Popadic.
On January 14, 1970, he moved to Racine, then Chicago, IL, before coming to Kenosha in 1972 to make his home.
He was formerly employed at Chrysler Motors in Kenosha until his retirement.
Pero was a member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Racine.
He is survived by his wife, Krsmanija of Kenosha; three sons, Dusan (Snezana) Matic of Kenosha, Stevo (Ljiljana) Matic of Kenosha and Zarija (Cheryl) Matic of Franklin, WI; a brother, Vlado (Danica) Matic of Racine; three sisters, Dragica (Krsto) Jovic of Bosnia, Mara Jankovic of Kenosha and Bosa (Milos) Tesic of Bosnia; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11th, at Proko Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be held on Friday at St. Sava Monastery Serbian Orthodox Cemetery, 32377 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
