Obituary for Yolanda Gonzales

Yolanda Gonzales, 68, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa, surrounded by her loving children.

Born on October 7, 1951, in Joliet, IL, she was the daughter of the late Santos Gonzales and Audencia (nee: Ynclan) Barrera.

Yolanda worked as an administrative assistant for Kenosha County at the Urban League and Spanish Center. She was dedicated to her family, a great cook, and enjoyed being out among people and singing. Her outgoing personality will be missed.

Survivors include her three children, Marcia Gonzales, Dasia Gooch, and Ricardo “Ricky” Donaldson; 13 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Santos (Alice) Gonzales, Criscela (Jose “Sammy”) Villalobos, Elsa (Martin) Negrete, and Louis Gonzales. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Viola Gonzales.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th, at Proko Funeral Home, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private. Facial coverings are required for all attendees.
