Obituary for Santina Iovine (Fabiano)

Santina Iovine, 85, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Cotronei, province of Catanzaro, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Serafina (Borza) Fabiano.
On May 2, 1959, she married John Iovine, Jr. at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
Santina was employed as a seamstress at Jockey International until her retirement in 1986.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and was in their Ladies Society. Santina enjoyed traveling with her husband, and baking and cooking, especially Italian dishes, for her entire family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, John; her five children, Mary J. Gajdos, John M. Iovine, Jeff M. (Kaori) Iovine, Frank J. Iovine, and Tina M. (Tom) Richer; and seven grandchildren, Steven (girlfriend: Ashley Walz) Gajdos, Sophia and Julia Iovine, Benjamin, Frankie, and Johnnie Iovine, and Matthew (fiancé: Melissa Davison) Richer. She is further survived by three siblings, Frank Fabiano, Carmela (James) Alia, and Tony (Jackie) Fabiano; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by three siblings, Angelina (Martino) Ambrosio, Agatina (Mico) DeSimone, and Salvatore “Sam” Fabiano.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1st, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 2nd, at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th St, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank Dr. Leonardo Montemurro, the entire staff at St. Catherine’s Hospital, and the caring staff at Hospice Alliance.
