Obituary for Robert Francis Lang

Robert F. Lang, 49, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Angol, Chile, on April 30, 1969, the son of the Methodist missionaries, Russell and Nancy (Hinton) Lang of Craig, Nebraska.
Robert graduated from Kansas State University with his bachelor’s degree in Milling Science and Management and was employed by Ardent Mills in Kenosha for 21 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, through which he was able to follow his parent’s legacy and became a missionary. His mission work would eventually lead him back to his birthplace in Chile where he met Anita Hernández Villagrán. They later wed and together raised three children in Kenosha. He was the kind of husband who always supported, the kind of father who always provided and the kind of friend who was always there.
Robert had a passion for history, loved to travel and loved the Cubs. His caring demeanor, love for his family, and his mission work is continued by his three children.
Before his passing Robert said, “I got to travel, I raised three wonderful kids, and I met the love of my life, I’m at peace.”
He is survived by his wife, Anita; three sons, Orlando, Pablo, and Esteban; and four siblings, Christina Lang of TX, Rowan (Kim) Lang of NE, Larry (Lauren) Lang of VA, and Jon Lang of IL. He is further survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24th, at Proko Funeral Home, from 12:00 noon until the time of service 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
