Obituary for Randal Felix "Randy" Batassa
Randal “Randy” Felix Batassa, 62, of Trevor, WI, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 3, 1959, in Kenosha, WI, he was the son of the late Dominick and Martha (Pekkala) Batassa. He attended local schools and graduated from Tremper and Parkside earning his bachelor's degree.
Randy was employed by Snap On as a marketing manager until his retirement in 2020. On September 9, 2000, he married Julie Robleski at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He was called Mr. Christmas especially during the Christmas Light Display synced with music known as the Trevor Light Project. He loved boating, swimming, refurbishing bicycles, and eating pizza and pasta (for almost every meal). His backyard swimming pool was fully equipped with solar panels to keep it at the perfect temperature. If you were ever stuck, Randy would be the one to help build and repair your computers.
Randy is survived by his wife, Julie Batassa of Trevor, WI; two children, Dominick and Malinda; four siblings, Christine Schlater, Marilyn (Earl) Kirchner, Dan (Deborah) Batassa, and Donna (John) Leal; and three dogs, his beloved Maisey, Rocky, and Maggie. He is further survived by other loving family and friends.
Along with his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brothers Jeffery and Leonard Batassa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Proko Funeral Home, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
