Obituary for Noreen Carmella Fonk (Pinnola)

Noreen C. Fonk, 88, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center Kenosha.

Born in Kenosha on March 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Ann (Matera) Pinnola.

On June 21, 1952, she married James Fonk at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They were married for over 60 years and spent 23 years living in Arizona. He preceded her in death in 2015.

Noreen enjoyed interior designing, boating, snowmobiling, and traveling- especially to Italy. She had a love for watching a variety of sports but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Kristine) Fonk ,Cheryl (Dominic) Sochia, Janet (Rick) Quesenberry, and Julie (Joe) Gemignani; nine grandchildren, Robyn (Daniel) Stepler, Bonnie (Ben) Eisenhart, Aaron Schanel, Rachael (Ryan) Dorsey, Shannon Diaz, Daniel Wells, Carley (Ben) Adams, Jonathan Quesenberry, and Derrick Crawford; many great grandchildren; and her sister, Dena (Bob) Badgerow. She is further survived by other loving family and friends.

Aside from her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Tony Pinnola.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 7, at Proko Funeral Home, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m. Facial coverings and social distancing are required for those attending. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
