Obituary for Mildred Elizabeth Becker

Mildred Becker, 99, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Manor Care Kenosha.

Born in Kenosha on August 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Getchman) Hefflefinger. On May 12, 1945, she married John Becker Sr. He served in the United States Marines, which led them to living in Hawaii and North Carolina before settling in Kenosha. He preceded her in death in 1994.

She was employed at Simmons and Ben Franklins until her retirement.

Mildred was a lifelong member and Sunday school volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a long-time volunteer to veterans at the VA Center in North Chicago. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants, especially orchids and above all else enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, John Becker Jr. and William (Cathy) Becker; two grandchildren, Carrie (Mason) Love and Christopher Becker; and a niece, Terry (Wayne) Eng; She is further survived by other loving family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her sisters Marjorie and Dorothy.

Due to the current health crisis, services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 7104 39th Ave, or Hospice Alliance, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd, would be appreciated by the family.
