Lorraine S. Paul, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Brookside Care Center.

Born in Kenosha, on April 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan (Zelinka) Valo. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1952, and the Nursing Practical School in 1953.

Following nursing school, she worked at Kenosha Memorial Hospital, became a visiting nurse in 1981, then worked at Brookside Care Center from 1986 until her retirement in 1996.

On October 22, 1955, she married Kenneth R. Paul at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2001.

Lorraine was a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church and participated in their choir and Dorcas Guild. She and her husband enjoyed traveling together and chaperoning their children in Rambler Band, Continental Band, and Blackwatch Band.

Survivors include her three children, Karen (Tom) Jabs, Keith Paul, and Ken (Tracey) Paul; seven grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie), Jason, Joshua (Amy), Carly, Benjamin, Matt (Crystal), and Brittany (Brett); and six great-grandchildren, Joey, Anthony, Bryson, Avery, Hayzel, and Brantly.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Valo.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and Brookside Care Center for the compassionate care they provided Lorraine.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 15th, at Proko Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Facial coverings are required for those attending. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Lakeside Lutheran Church, 3833 8th Avenue, or the family, would be appreciated.
