Obituary for Lois M. Miller (Beadell)
Lois (Marchel) Miller, 87 years old, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Azura Memory Care, Kenosha, WI.
She was born December 7, 1932, in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Howard and Edna (Bergman) Beadell.
Lois married Harry Miller and he preceded her in death December 29, 2008.
Lois worked many years as secretary to the Librarian at the Des Plaines Public Library before her retirement. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Des Plaines, IL and sang in the choir from 1965-1995. She also served as President and Secretary of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and the Finance Committee. Lois volunteered her time for many years with the Coronado Library, as well as on the board of Thrivent Financial for four years at Community of Joy Lutheran Church, Hot Springs, AR.
Lois’ interests included golfing, bowling, traveling, playing Pinochle, bike riding, and hiking.
Survivors include her children, Daniel (Sharee) Marchel and Lisa (Mark) Lendvay; grandchildren, Megan Lendvay, Nicole Lendvay, and Nathan Lendvay; stepchildren, Deborah Schoenrock and her son, Justin, James (Debra) Miller, and their daughters, Christina and Stefanie, and Barbara Miller; nieces and nephews, Curt (Anne) Beadell, Lynne (John) Fiertag, Lynda Zielinski, Larry (Wendy) Marchel, Lon (Hillary) Marchel, and Lauren (Steve) Andjewski; she was also a great aunt to many more.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva St., Racine, WI. Interment will be private in Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge, IL. Arrangements were entrusted to Proko Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, in her memory.
