Larry “Punka” Fish, 82, of Paris Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center – Burlington.

He was born in Richland Center, on November 29, 1938. On December 12, 1959, he married the love of his life, Mayva Blaha.

Larry taught himself how to play the harmonica, guitar, and “the rattle bones”. From 1996-2006, “Punka” drove his ponies Jericho and Kendall, from Kenosha County joining with the wagon train in Richland Center. He was also heavily involved in 4H and was instrumental for starting the small animal auction at the Kenosha Co. Fair. He was known to be a writer, musician, entertainer, and craftsman. He loved gardening, polka music, and building bird houses. “At the end of every rainbow, the bluebird sings its sweet low melody of freshness and comfort.”

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mayva; five children, Yolanda Fish, Lynette (Dennis) Lessard, Brian (Barb) Fish, Tracy (Don) Fliess, and David (Karen) Fish; grandchildren, Jared (Millie), Ebony, Joel, Mayva (Matt), Amanda, Matthew, Lukas, Myles, Liam, Scott (Britt), and Shauna; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Elena, Madison, Alexis, and Marcella. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 21st, at Kenosha Bible Church, 5405 67th Street, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00a.m. Interment will be private.

Punka always made the "Good Times" Better....... Telling a story, playing a tune, or just smiling. I always enjoyed riding horse next to his wagon. Gave my some laughable memories and stories to share. Dearly missed. Thanks for the memories💗
