Obituary for Jeannette M. Wiegert (Nass)

Jeannette M. Wiegert, age 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.

Born in Racine, on February 4, 1932, to the late Henry and Gertrude (Bach) Ness. She moved to Kenosha in 1942. She lived in Kenosha for the remainder of her life. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1949.

She worked at Kemper Hall Girl’s School when in high school. She truly enjoyed the work she did there.

On July 15, 1950, she married the love of her life, Earl E. Wiegert. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2013.

Jeannette was a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family.

Jeannette and Earl enjoyed dancing, especially wherever Frenchy Boutan was playing. They enjoyed camping and spent winters in Florida and Texas and summers at their cottage in Crivitz, where many friends and family would come to visit. They also enjoyed stock car racing at Wilmot Raceway and other surrounding racetracks. Jeannette also enjoyed crafting, watching game shows and the Lawrence Welk show, and doing word search books.

Jeannette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her two grandchildren, Max & Kim. She made sure that she attended every school or extra-curricular activity that her grandchildren were involved in.

Survivors include her son: Paul Allen Nass; and daughter: Kathy (Tim) Dinan of Kenosha; two grandchildren: Maxwell Earl Dinan and Kimberly Jean Dinan; and her brother: Charles Nass of Kenosha. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Ralph Wiegert; her brothers: Gordon, Melvin, and Arnold; and sister, Loretta.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Proko Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
