Obituary for James Joseph McGinley
James J. McGinley, 87, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019, at The Addison.
Born in Soldiers Grove, WI, on April 14, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Florence (Flemming) McGinley.
On November 14, 1953, he married Chancey Bonaretti in Kenosha. She preceded him in death in December of 2003.
James was employed in maintenance by Kenosha County. He enjoyed playing cards with his brother and friends, and loved watching sports, particularly the Packers and Brewers. Above all else, James enjoyed spending his time with his family.
Survivors include his son, Joseph (Maria) McGinley of Lakemoor, IL; his daughter, Joanne (Steve) Schlegel of San Diego, CA; a son-in-law, Bob Dyutka; seven grandchildren, Paul (Angie), Tommy (Kristin), Ryan, Sarah, Kaylee, Danielle, and Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Noah, Matthew, and Emily; a brother, Robert (Joan) McGinley; a sister, Patricia McCoy; and his previous son-in-law which he remained close with, Glenn (Karry) Lawson.
He was proceeded in death by a daughter, Carol Dyutka; and a brother-in-law, Bill McCoy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, at Proko Funeral Home, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Private family entombment will immediately follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
