Obituary for Inez O. Lehman (Blaim)

Inez Lehman, 100, of Kenosha passed away Monday (June 20th, 2005) at Sheridan Medical Complex.
Born in Medford, WI, on November 3, 1904, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Augusta (Stake) Blaim. She was educated in the schools of Mellen and was a graduate of Ashland Wisconsin Normal School. She and her family moved to Kenosha in 1920. She was the second oldest of six children.
On August 20, 1927 she married John G. Lehman. He passed away August 31, 1968.
She was a secretary at Coopers (Jockey) until her marriage. She also worked, during peak periods at her family's business the Rite Way Dry Cleaners. Later she was secretary and treasurer of her husband's home building business, John G. Lehman General Contractor.
A talented musician and cook, she used those talents to entertain family and friends. By age 12, she was playing the piano for silent movies in a Mellen Theater. Her playing led the family in song at every get together. She still played at her home for the past ten years, Sheridan Medical Complex. Her cooking was savored by many, but especially at family holiday gatherings. On a larger scale, she volunteered to cook for Trinity Lutheran Church membership dinners, during that congregations growth spurts of the 1940's.
Surviving are two sons, Ken (Priscilla) Lehman of Pleasant Prairie, and Roger (Judy) Lehman of Greendale; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lance Lehman; and her five brothers and sisters, Melvin Blaim, Alice LaPour, Helen Cable, Ruth Radatz and Charles Blaim.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24th, at 11 a.m. at Proko Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home.
