Obituary for Grace Elaine Grant (Wienholtz)
Grace E. Grant, 94, of Paddock Lake, WI, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center – Kenosha.
Born in Elgin, IL, on October 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Walter (Betty) Wienholtz and Margaret (Albert) Buhrman.
She married Harry McCloud and had two children. After 18 years, their marriage ended in divorce. She went on to marry Edward Frank, and after 15 years of marriage he preceded her in death. She then married Walter Grant, and after 18 years of marriage he preceded her in death.
Grace was a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She loved to dance in her youth, going to Disney World on family trips, and being at the cabin in Lake Geneva with Walter where she enjoyed fishing and watching her grandchildren swim.
Survivors include her daughter: Susan Walters-Grant; four grandchildren: Brandon Walters, Shawn (Cari) Walters, Dawn (Brian) Block, and Michael (Alexis) McCloud; and her six great-grandchildren who affectionately called her “Great Gracie”: Mackenzie, Bradley, Stone, Cruze, Logan, and Landon.
Aside from her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son: Kenneth McCloud; and four siblings: Robert (Norma) Wienholtz, Leroy (Betty) Wienholtz, Darlene (George) Pfeiffer, and Betty Hogeland.
Services for Grace were held privately. A special thank you to Cari, who spent time listening to Grace’s many life stories during their visits.
