Obituary for Esperanza Rodriguez

Maria Esperanza Rodriguez, formerly of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Los Corrales, Durango, Mexico, on April 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Santiago and Gregoria Corral and was educated in the schools of Mexico.

On May 25, 1968, she married Luis Rodríguez in Tierra Blanca, Durango Mexico. Together they moved to Chicago in 1978 and retired to Kenosha in 2008.

She loved tending to her sewing and knitting in meticulous condition and she overcame all challenges staying positive and staying firm with lots faith. Most of all, she enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Luis Rodríguez of Mezquital Durango Mexico; proud mother of Martha (Juan)Herrera of Kenosha, Laura (Jorge) Estrada of Beloit, Luis (Theresa) Rodriguez of Kenosha, and Brenda (Juan) Zamudio of Lansing, IL; and twelve grandchildren, Jorge Estrada, Luis Rodríguez, Rachel Rodríguez, Juan Herrera, Christina Rodríguez, Ivan Estrada, Adan Herrera, Natalie Rodríguez, Adrian Estrada, Alexis Zamudio, Andy Zamudio, and Isabella Estrada.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday, March 8th, at St. Mark Catholic Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
