Obituary for Elaine V. Jones (Koleske)
Elaine V. (Koleske) Jones, 93 years old of Kenosha., WI, passed away at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI on April 27, 2021.
She was born in Racine on April 19, 1928, daughter of the late Frank and Veronica (Feest) Koleske. On June 23, 1951, at St. George Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Raymond P. Jones, who preceded her in death, March 17, 1994.
Elaine was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School and St. Catherine’s High School in Racine. She worked at Beauty Craft Studio, S. C. Johnson and at Hamilton Beach in Racine. She then moved to Kenosha.
Elaine was a member of St. Peter’s Parish and then St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kenosha for many years. She enjoyed knitting, playing bridge, helping neighbors and friends, exercising and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, John Jones of Chicago, IL, David (Donna) Jones of Riverside, IL, Steven (Flavia) Jones of Chicago, IL, and James (Juanita) Jones of Wauwatosa, WI; three grandchildren; Andrew Jones and Evan Jones of Riverside, IL and Hannah Jones of Wauwatosa, WI; one brother, Daniel (Shirley) Koleske; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Francis (Laura) Koleske, Paul (Josephine) Koleske, Louis (Rose) Koleske, Mark (Sandy) Koleske, John (Roberta) Koleske, Marie Koleske, Hildegard (Eugene) Walsh, Eleanor (George) Beyer, Rita (Sam) Barranco, Joan (Joe) Adamek, and Lawrence (Mary and LaVerne) Koleske.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street, Racine, WI 53402, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum, 3300 Springbrook Road, Pleasant Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph’s Catholic School, 1525 Erie St, Racine, WI 53402, would be appreciated by the family.
