Dr. Michael James Rizzo, 67, lifelong resident of Kenosha, entered into eternal life with his brother, Dr. Vincent C. Rizzo, and sister-in-law, Mary Rizzo, due to injuries from a tragic car accident on Friday, April 5, 2019.

He was born in Kenosha on December 15, 1951, the son of the late Corradino and Ida (Paura) Rizzo.

Mike was a family practitioner at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha for over 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, the American Medical Association, and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He enjoyed taking continuing education courses in order to provide his patients with the best care possible. He loved going out to dinner with his family and spending time in Chicago with friends.

He is survived by his brother, Gerald Rizzo, of Kenosha; nieces and nephews: Catherine (Ronald Fliess) Koessl of Pleasant Prairie, Dr. Vincent M. (Louisa) Rizzo of Pleasant Prairie, John (Laura) Rizzo of Shorewood, WI, and Janet (Ryan) Duemke of Hartland, WI; and four great-nieces and great-nephews.

May God continue to comfort and guide you during this difficult time; and may the "peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard your heart and your mental powers". Philippians 4:7.

I only recently heard that Dr. Rizzo and his brother and sister-in-law were tragically killed by a drunk driver and I am angry and saddened beyond words. Dr. Rizzo was not only a good doctor but a good man, and I will miss him very much. My most heartfelt condolences to his staff and colleagues at the hospital, and all his family.

I saw Dr Rizzo on April 3,2019. Always with that lovely smile when he greets his patients, I was shocked and angry upon your death. I had been your patient for 22 years and developed a great relationship with you, my heart is broken, but I know God takes the blessed and you were blessed in many ways because you were loved by a whole community of professionals, family, office staff and your patients. You are irreplaceable and I will miss your smile, your kidding around and your caring spirit, RIP great Doctor.

Dr. Michael Rizzo was an outstanding physician, but it is more than that that I will love about him for the rest of my life - he was so funny, so full of life; I will remember his laugh for years to come. I cherish everything he taught me throughout my time as his medical assistant. Sending so much love and peace to the Rizzo family. I feel incredibly blessed to have known Mike and all of your incredible family.

It is with great sorrow that I am sending my condolences on your recent loss. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I and would like to share a scripture that has benefited me and many people in time of grief. God reassures us of something wonderful in the Bible at Acts 24:15. It says, "There is going to be a resurrection." Along with God's promise to us at Revelation 21:3, 4 of sorrow, death, and pain being done away with permanently.

It is my hope that this bit of information is of comfort to you. Please be sure to find further information regarding the resurrection at: JW.ORG

May God be with you.
