Obituary for Donald Gary Urban Sr.
Donald G. Urban, Sr., 72 years old, of Pleasant Prairie, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, WI.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Edward S. and Beatrice (Roesner) Urban. Don proudly served in the United States Army. On March 21, 1981, he married Susan Clifford in the living room of their home in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Don worked as a mechanic at Pep Boys for many years prior to his retirement in September of 2022.
Don was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing year-round. Don, Sue, and their family spent many summers camping at Hidden Valley campground and cherished their time together there. Don proudly maintained a beautiful vegetable garden and was very handy, he was a “jack of all trades”. He always had time to throw some horseshoes around and support his favorite candidate, Donald Trump.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sue Urban; his four children, Donna (Bob) Gowens, Donnie (Meghan) Urban, Jr., Dawn (Markie) Lentz, and Dustin Urban; grandchildren, Kayla Gowens, Bobby Gowens, Eric Gowens, Nick Gowens, Nathan Urban, Kate Urban, Addy Urban, Jeffery Lentz, Mark Lentz, Jr., Juliana Lentz, Landon Lentz, Caleb Urban, and Caylee Urban; great grandchildren, Kahlea, Jackson, Alayah, Levi and Ellie. Donald is further survived by his siblings, Edward Urban, Sue (Jim) Kelly, Jack (Suzanne) Urban, Darlene (Marv) Schaefer, Cheryl (Larry) Bushing, and Donna Urban Garrett.
Visitation for Don will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., concluding with Full Military Honors at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers and trees, memorials would be appreciated to the family.
