Diane T. Droskoski, 73, of Somers, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 26, 1946, in Southold, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Surozenski) Droskoski. She graduated from Southold High School.

In 1967, she married Eugene Baltazar in Southold, NY. They then moved to Chicago, then Trevor, later to Twin Lakes where they lived for many years, and most recently Somers.

Dianne worked at St. John’s Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, as the Director of Religious Education for many years until she retired. After retirement, she worked at Home Inspired Living as their Activities Coordinator.

She enjoyed shopping, antiquing, gardening, taking care of her husband, and spoiling her grandchildren, who meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Eugene Baltazar of Somers; two sons, Alan (Fiancée Katy Long) Baltazar of FL and Ryan (Becky) Baltazar of Pleasant Prairie; three grandchildren, Trent, Trace and Logan Baltazar; and her sister, Alice Kramer of NY. She is further survived by other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Droskoski.

Private services will be held per Dianne’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

I had the pleasure of working with Dianne for several years at Home Inspired. She always went above and beyond when planning the activities for the Residents! They always enjoyed their time with her. She kept them busy and always had a prize for them. Dianne was so good to her co workers and was always baking and sharing her delicious treats with all of us. It was clear how important her family was to her and she talked about them often. After she stopped working we kept in touch and she was always positive, even though her health was declining. Her faith was strong and she was so kind to everyone. She will be missed by many! I am blessed to have known her and will keep your family in my prayers! Sara Adams

Dianne was a fantastic faith formation director. She was always creative and cared very deeply for everyone who came through the church's door. She was especially effective at RCIA so that many adults came to the faith and are forever grateful for her thoughtful care. She will be missed by the church but not as much as by her family for whom she had so much love.
With Prayers,
Fr. Michael Erwin

How difficult to say goodbye to such a vibrant gal., she meant so much to so many at St. John,s. From day one, over 2o years ago, she welcomed me & made me feel at home. She was the heart of St. john’s . Her work there was a labor of love that
she shared with young & old. Her enthusiasm was contagious . Thank you for sharing your Diane with us!
Not goodbye but God be with you ❤️😀☘️ Barb Durkin

Dianne and I worked together at St. John's for many years. She was a joy in my life and in the lives of my kids. She spoiled them with pretzels, chocolate, jokes, dancing Santa decorations at Christmas and lots of love! They all have fond memories of her bubbly spirit and her tender heart. I know many kids at St. John's flocked around her. She had a magnetic personality, especially for children. She holds a special place in my heart. Even though we didn't see each other often, anytime I go to Hobby Lobby or Goodwill, I keep my eyes open hoping our paths will cross (as it seemed like we'd often see each other there). You and your family are in my prayers - I know she loved you all so much!
