Obituary for Beverly Jane Gibour

Beverly Jane Gibour, 91, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Froedtert South Kenosha surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 11, 1928 in Marinette, WI; she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Jonavon) Boye.

On September 25, 1948, she married Marvin Gibour in MI. Shortly after they moved to Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2019.

Beverly was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked for Heineman’s Bakery in Waukegan for 10 years, which she really enjoyed.

She enjoyed bowling, golfing, dancing, listening to country music and Elvis, and spending time with her three loving granddaughters, Heather, Missy, and Sarah and her great-grandchildren. She loved flowers, especially petunias, collecting spoons and music boxes.

Beverly is survived by her three children, James (Merced) Gibour of Lindenhurst, IL, Judith Thompson of Kenosha, and Lawrence Gibour of Canyon Lake, TX; six grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two brothers, Roger (Diane) Boye and Richard Boye. She is further survived by other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Wentz; son-in-law, Richard Thompson; and two nephews, Steven Boye and Kurt Wentz.

Beverly’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Meadowmere, as well as, the doctors and staff at Froedtert South Kenosha for their compassionate and loving care.

Private services were held.
