Minnie V. Matera, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Born on November 29, 1923, in Harvard, NE, and came to Kenosha as a small child. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Maude (Brown) Adams.
On June 26, 1943, she married Raymond Matera. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1993.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Matrise of Kenosha; two grandchildren, Renee (John) Matrise Ruchti and David (Carrie) Matrise; two great-granddaughters, Kendall and McKenna Ruchti; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Matera; step-father, George Morrell; a brother, Louis Brown; two sisters, Shirley Mauldin and Susan Tabili; and a beloved sister-in-law, Catherine Matera.
Services were held at All Saints Mausoleum privately.
