Mike Sinnen, 63, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Born the son of Robert and Arlene (Fitzpatrick) Sinnen on July 27, 1955, he was a lifelong Kenosha area resident.
Legally blind since the age of 10, Mike graduated from Bradford High School and Gateway Technical College and worked as a software analyst for Abbott Laboratories for over 30 years. He was a member of the Lions Club of Greater Kenosha for over 30 years, passionate about helping to provide resources and services to others with visual impairments. As an avid runner, he completed two Chicago marathons.
Other interests included card game nights with the guys, listening to Bob Uecker broadcast Milwaukee Brewers games and frequent trips to Las Vegas for less frequent wins at the Pai Gow poker tables. He loved Clint Eastwood, John Wayne and Mel Brooks movies and also loved memorizing lines from the movies and repeating them at absolutely ridiculous moments.
Survivors include his mother, Arlene; son, Timm; daughter, Tiana; three brothers, Brad (Karen), Mark (Sherry) and Gregg (Julie); two sisters, Debbie (Bill) Myers and Peggy (Bill) Grabowski; and three grandchildren, Micah, Christian “C.J.” and Zane.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sinnen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private. As an expression of sympathy, please consider a memorial contribution to Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie or the Lions Club of Greater Kenosha.
