Joseph Richard Polentini, Sr. 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 10, 2018, at Brookside Care Center.
Born in Kenosha on March 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Dante and Gina (Andreucci) Polentini.
On September 15, 1956, he married Dolores Santelli; she preceded him in death on July 31, 2013.
Joseph owned and operated Polentini’s Bakery with his son Joseph until his retirement in 2012.
He is survived by his son, Joseph (Jenny) Polentini of Kenosha; four daughters, Mary (Dan) Kober of Beach Park, IL, Linda (Ron Biggs) Patrick of Kenosha, Nancy Patrick of Kenosha, and Lisa (Frank) DeAngelis of Salem; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy (Walter) Ebner of Kenosha and Anna Polentini of Kenosha; a brother-in-law, Ben (Janet) Santelli of Kenosha; and three sisters-in-law, Theresa Chianelli of Racine, and Kathleen Santelli and Gemma Santelli, both of Kenosha.
Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Polentini; a sister-in-law, Loretta Polentini; and three brothers-in-law, Robert and Guy Santelli, and Frank Chianelli, II.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 12th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 13th, starting with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. and a Mass celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
